Case 01 / Brand and domain migration
GateA full-site brand cutover completed in three weeks
The move from Gate.io to Gate.com touched every customer-facing surface: app, website, campaign pages, social channels, email, support, help center, and multilingual pages. I turned that change into a coordinated three-week cutover.
Project essentials
Gate’s brand and domain migration moved Gate.io to Gate.com across the app, website, campaigns, social channels, email, support, help center, and multilingual pages.
As project lead, I coordinated the touchpoint map, owners, cutover windows, risk reviews, validation evidence, and leadership updates.
The program began early in my tenure with a three-week window. Any missed or delayed public entry point could affect customers and weaken brand consistency.
The full-site migration landed on time with no major incidents. Its control sheet and validation model also informed later portfolio governance work.
At a glance
Background
The Gate.io to Gate.com brand and domain migration was one of my first major programs at Gate. It was highly visible from the start and reached across every customer-facing touchpoint.
Challenge
The pressure came from synchronization. One lagging touchpoint could easily become the first thing users noticed.
My role
I coordinated touchpoints, cutover windows, validation evidence, risk reviews, and leadership visibility across teams.
Result
The migration was completed in three weeks without major incidents. It also gave me a fast understanding of Gate’s key operating and cross-functional workflows.
Reflection
Large cutovers hold when boundaries, ownership, and validation methods stay clear from start to finish.
